Staff This half term we say Good bye to Miss Debbie and wish her all the best for the future. Miss Donna will be taking on the position of Deputy Manager.
Visit A big Thank you to PC Wilson and PC Walker for coming to visit the children on Wednesday 7th February. The children thoroughly enjoyed it.
Easter Holiday Club Bright Beginnings is looking to run an Easter Holiday Club in the 2nd week, Monday 9th – Friday 12th April. Forms will be going out in a few weeks, but please do let a member of staff know if you are interested as we can only run the club if there is enough interest. Warm Clothes As the weather is so cold at the moment, please can all children bring a warm coat, hat, scarf & gloves to Pre School, so that we are able to play outside.
30 hours funding If you would like your child to receive the 30 hours funding for the Summer term, you can access your DERN numbers any time from now on the government website. There is also a link found on our Facebook page and website.

Welcome Letter Welcome to Bright Beginnings Montessori Pre School. I am sure that your children will settle in quickly and have lots of fun in their new adventure.

Coats and Bags Please ensure that all bags, coats, shoes and lunch boxes are named and placed on your child’s named peg. Bags should contain a spare change of clothes, nappies, nappy bags and wipes if needed. Please try and keep the bags as small as possible.
Topics: Each week we have a different topic that the children or parents can choose. The topic is displayed on the door and updated weekly on our website and Facebook page. During the week the children are invited to bring in toys or books to do with these topics to show in circle time. Please do not let your child bring any other toys into the classroom as they may get lost or broken.
Fees If you are paying nursery fees and your child is off unwell or on holiday. Fees do still apply. An invoice will be given termly with how to make monthly payments.
Early Years Free Entitlement You will be given a form to fill out for the early years free entitlement on your child’s first day. Please can a copy of your child’s passport or birth certificate also be handed in. If you are unable to make a copy, we can do this for you.
30 hours free entitlement Parents wishing to claim the 30 hours of free childcare must access an 11 digit DERN number before the start of the funding block that they wish to claim for.
Indoor shoes We would like the children to be comfortable throughout the session and most of the children choose to wear slippers, pumps or crocs in the classroom. This keeps the classroom clean, the children are comfortable and learn to change their shoes independently for outdoor play.
Cleaning teeth After lunch the children are encouraged to clean their teeth. Children that stay for the afternoon session are welcome to bring in a tooth brush and toothpaste. Please keep in a little bag in lunch boxes.
Sickness / Holidays If your child is unable to attend per school, please can you inform the school via email, text or phone call. (07718425943)
Collection of children If your child is being collected by someone other than a parent or child minder, please can you inform us at drop off. A name and password will be required otherwise children will not be released under any circumstances without these.
Notices Please look out for any notices. These are displayed on our notice window in the reception area or given out in a newsletter. Notices can also be found on our website www.brightbeginningsmontessoripreschool.com and our Facebook page Bright beginnings Montessori school.
Parent’s folder / Policies / complaints and suggestion box Located in the reception area is a parent’s folder with useful information and school policy folder for you to look at. We also have a complaints folder situated on our notice board and a suggestions box to post any comments.
